Nitro Canyon
Nitro Canyon is pure arcade racing fun. You tilt or tap to steer, drift around hairpins to build boost, and blast down long canyon straights. The handling leans arcade rather than sim, so anyone can jump in, but mastering the drift-to-boost loop separates a decent lap from a great one.
The track variety is solid. Some routes are wide and forgiving, others squeeze you through slot canyons where one bad line costs you the lead. Car upgrades feel meaningful without being mandatory, and we cleared most events on the starter vehicle before treating ourselves to something faster.
The rubber-band AI keeps races tense, sometimes a little too tense when a rival magically catches up on the last stretch. It's a minor gripe in an otherwise breezy, good-looking racer that's easy to load up for one quick race that turns into six.
What we liked
- Simple controls with a satisfying drift-boost loop
- Varied tracks from open desert to tight canyons
- Upgrades that help without gating progress
