About
Pocket Playbook started as a shared notes doc between a few friends who kept texting each other 'how did you beat level 40?'. Instead of losing those messages forever, we turned them into structured guides that anyone can follow. Everything on this site comes from hands-on play, not press kits.
We pick games by watching what people around us are actually installing. If a title climbs the charts or keeps showing up in group chats, we download it and start taking notes. Some games get a quick verdict, others earn full walkthroughs because the mechanics reward a closer look.
Our reviews try to answer the questions we had while playing: what does each button do, where does the difficulty spike, and is the game still fun after the first hour. We keep opinions clearly marked as opinions and stick to what we observed in-game.
The team is small, which we like. It means every guide is read by someone who finished the game, and nobody publishes a walkthrough for a level they never cleared themselves.
Lukas Brandt — Lukas has been reviewing mobile games since the early touchscreen days and edits every guide before it goes live. He plays a bit of everything but has a soft spot for turn-based strategy.
